The four most common manifestations of a broken power steering pump:
increased noise during steering, steering wheel jams during steering, significantly heavier steering wheel during steering, and inaccurate pointing when steering.
Product commissioning
1 After the product is installed, add the hydraulic oil as required above, start the engine, and
remember not to turn the direction in a hurry, first idle for tens of seconds, then lightly press
the accelerator, slowly accelerate to 2000 rpm, and then lower to idle speed, repeatedly work
for several times, lasting for 2 minutes, left and right, and finally turn the steering wheel left and
right (remember not to beat the direction, otherwise it is easy to damage the booster pump )
Exhaust the air in the steering system until there is no bubble and the abnormal sound due to
air entering the pump disappears.
2 During commissioning, observe whether the oil of the power steering pump is sufficient. If not, add it.
3 During commissioning, pay attention to observe whether there is leakage in the steering system, and discharge it in time if any.
4 During commissioning, pay attention not to beat the direction, including daily use. Otherwise, it is very easy to damage the internal parts of the booster pump, causing excessive wear and failure of the product and affecting the service life of the product.
5 The noise may be produced during the initial installation of the product. The main reason maybe the air entering. It is necessary to run in several times to exhaust the air in the booster pump. If the original hydraulic oil has dirt or the filter element is blocked, it will also cause noise. Please change the hydraulic oil and filter element first. After running in several times, check the booster oil in the booster pump oil pot again to see if there is any loss, if so, add it. For other faults, please refer to "common faults and troubleshooting" in the manual.
6 The newly installed power steering pump shall not work at full load immediately, and shall be operated at no load for a period of time, so as to check the running in condition of the power steering pump and exhaust the incoming air.
